About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) to join our boutique AAAASF-certified surgery center. 

Our ideal candidate is organized, professional, accountable, and motivated, with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills. You will assist our surgeon in providing individualized, high-quality care to our plastic surgery patients while contributing to a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Schedule:
  • Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays (7:15 a.m. until cases are complete, historically before 5 p.m.)
  • One Tuesday per month for complete terminal cleans

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the operating room, supplies, and equipment according to surgeon preferences, ensuring everything is sterile and in working order.
  • Assist the surgeon during procedures, including field preparation, maintaining sterility, passing instruments, retracting, suturing, maintaining hemostasis, and safely assisting with patient positioning.
  • Assist with room turnover and terminal cleaning at the end of the day.
  • Maintain compliance with all center policies and procedures.
  • Anticipate and prioritize the needs of each procedure.
  • Participate in surgical counts and assist with ordering and stocking specialty supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate and current certification of an accredited Surgical First Assist program (CSFA)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Outpatient surgery experience required
  • Suturing experience preferred
  • One year of plastic surgery experience preferred
  • SPD experience strongly preferred
